Boy Scouts Robotics Merit Badge Workshop

Pocatello, Idaho, January, 2015

LiveWire was asked to assist with a Boy Scout Roboics Merit Badge Workshop. We helped teach the scouts about programming and building with Lego robots. Six new Boy Scouts earned their Robotics Merit Badge.

Webelos Overnight Camp Event

Tyhee Stake Center Pocatello, Idaho, June 22, 2013

LIveWire was invited to introduce robotics to 200 Webelo scouts at the Webelo Overnight Camp event. After a lesson about our competition robot Phoenix and her capibilities, the scouts were able to catch frisbees flung by Phoenix and operate VEX robots.

Boy Scout Tour

Pine Ridge Mall, Pocatello, Idaho, February 2, 2012

An alumni of the LiveWire team recently conducted a workshop to help 8 boy scouts obtain their robotics merit badges. These boys and their leaders, from troops 102, 141, and 171, visited the LiveWire build site to tour the facility, ask questions to all of the build groups, and to talk to team members about FIRST robotics. The Scouts were excited to see the robots in progress and were invited to return to the Wire Rumble to see our completed robot in action.

Boy Scouts Robotics Merit Badge Workshop

LiveWire hosted a two-day workshop to help Boy Scouts earn their Robotics Merit Badge. 12 badges were awarded at it's completion! Three separate troops were represented and students were mixed and matched into four teams to complete LiveWire's custom Rectangle Rumble challenge.
