2015 Build Season
St. Louis Championships
St. Louis, Missouri, April 22 - April 25 , 2015
The FIRST Championship was amazing! LiveWire members had a blast visiting some parts of St. Louis. The best part was the robotics competition though, LiveWire finished 29th of the 76 teams in the Galileo division at the end of the Qualification rounds. SpudLink was incredible! It was an amazing finish to an amazing year of robotics in 2015.
Western Canada Regional
Calgary, Alberta Canada, April 1 - April 4 , 2015
The Western Canada Regional in Alberta, Canada was so much fun! It was super exciting to visit our neighbors up north and compete in another robotics competition. LiveWire's advisor Sue Stahlecker walked out of the regional with the Woodie Flowers Finalist Award, SpudLink took home the Industrial Design Award, and LiveWire even was spirited enough to take home the Team Spirit Award. LiveWire finished the Qualification Matches as the 6th Seed Alliance Captian and finished as a Quarter-Finalist.

Week 6 update:
It is all coming together! Team members are pulling together to finish the robot, the essay, the video, and the pit. We even had a visit from a very special fairy princess to meet OneByte.
Week 5 update:
There were a few field trips for OneByte this week to meet some of the team sponsors. Darrell (our Little Free Library - STEM Edition) has found a new home in the College of Technology building, although he will still continue to be mobile and travel with the team to all their events and competitions. Live, LOVE, Build Robots!
Week 4 update:
We had the opportunity to help our sponsors, the ISU Robotics Club with the Pocatello VEX Tournament by providing the event emcee and photographers. More special visitors stopped by the shop to meet OneByte. We are continuing to get updates from our former rookie team, the Arabian Knights FRC team 4928.
Week 3 update:
The highlights of week three: Special visitors, a functioning robot, beautiful pit poles, and a crazy Mr. Angle!
Week 2 update:
Week two started off with the field build team working hard on constructing game elements. They made great progress and by following a "Safety first" motto -- ALL their fingers are still intact. The week ended with homemade purple and green oreo cookies for Carlee's birthday and a surprise visit from Buttercup the puppy. She has such beautiful white fur -- many team members were envisioning her green and purple.....
Week 1 update:
Brainstorming, prototyping, game rules test taking.....and a GROOVY time at the Franklin Middle School Lego-In.
ISU College of Technology, Building 51, Pocatello, Idaho, January 3, 2015
On KickOff day, our rookie team, Golden Eagle Robotics, FRC team 5489, traveled from Twin Falls to Pocatello to spend the day with us. As a group, we spent the day analyzing the rules, as well as brainstorming robot designs and game strategy. It was an excellent opportunity to get to know and network with our rookie team.
After summer camp and before Kickoff, LiveWire has been extremely busy with various outreach activities. We were lucky this summer to receive many donations of books for our Little Free Library - STEM Edition. We spent time organizing the books, doing service work, repainting and refurbishing FLL tables, and putting together the field kits for the Pocatello FLL Qualifier.
